Los Altos School District Board Forming Taskforce on Enrollment Growth

Steve Taglio and Tamara Logan, LASD Trustees, at August 27 board meeting

Tamara Logan and Mark Goines at the August 27 LASD Meeting

The Highlight of the Aug. 27 Los Altos School District Board Meeting was discussion of the formation of the Citizen Taskforce on Enrollment Growth.  Goines wanted to limit the scope of the members review by including the requirement that they must adhere to current district policies.  Others spoke for not constraining the group.  Details of who should and should not be selected were discussed…

There was also a small dustup between Ron Haley — known as frequent, sharp-tongued critic of the board [and a BCS parent kept at arms length by some BCSers for his acerbic style] — and trustee Tamara Logan. Mr. Haley claimed there was plenty of space within the district… if the board would just redraw attendance areas.

Here is the video of the Second Half of the Meeting — it is of more interest to the broad Los Altos community of residents.
