- the City of Los Altos web site is bad and should be fixed, probably with intervention by a citizen advisory committee. Los Altos Hills’ site is easier to use.
- too much of the info on the web sites is in .pdf and is not machine-readable
- too much city and school district information is still on paper
- planning applications should be at least partially online and machine-readable
- there should be online methods of citizen engagement to supplement public comment at public meetings and to supplement statistical surveys
