If you have more time that 10 or 15 minutes, do watch the video of the consultant’s presentation. It is 45 minutes. That will give you a decent orientation to the 4 scenarios — and all the potential future items the Los Altos Downtown Vision survey is asking about. If you try to really answer every question and make considered comments, all that may take you 30 to 45 minutes more.

Los Altos Downtown Vision Survey caveats:

Sadly the Los Altos Downtown Vision survey does not distinguish between your liking a thing vs. your willingness to see City taxes used to pay for the thing. For example, I have no problem driving my car in and out of a parking structure above or below ground. That kind of parking won’t discourage me from using downtown. But I don’t think an above ground structure should ever be put on plazas 4,5,6,7,8,9,10. And I don’t want City funds to pay for it wherever it might go.

The naming of the plazas in the survey often does not match what they are called in real life.
